FRIENDS OF RACING LAUNCHES IN KENTUCKY

Lexington, KY - Friends of Racing, a new independent expenditure PAC in Kentucky, announced its launch today with a stated mission of electing candidates committed to preserving Kentucky’s status as the horse racing capital of the world.

Horse racing provides upwards of $115 million in state tax revenue, almost 34,000 good paying Kentucky jobs, and nearly $2 billion in economic activity for the Commonwealth according to recent reports.

“Horse racing is synonymous with Kentucky,” said Chairman Case Clay. “Friends of Racing is committed to protecting Kentucky’s horse racing legacy and preserving the vital tax revenue for our Commonwealth and good paying jobs for Kentuckians that accompany it.”

As an independent expenditure, Friends of Racing will support and oppose candidates up and down the ballot in Kentucky.
